Today is a big day for us. After months of building and an intense testing programme with our early community, Near-U is officially live on the Google Play Store — free to download for everyone in Nigeria.
What is Near-U?
Near-U connects you with trusted local professionals — plumbers, electricians, cleaners, AC technicians, painters, carpenters and more — right in your neighbourhood. Every provider on Near-U goes through identity verification before they can take jobs, so you always know who's coming to your door.
Why people love it
Your money is protected in escrow until the job is done — no more paying upfront and praying. Real reviews from real customers help you choose with confidence. And if you can't find the right person, post a job and let qualified pros come to you.
For professionals
If you're a skilled tradesperson, Near-U puts you in front of clients in your area at zero cost to start. Get verified, build your profile, and grow your business on your reputation.
A thank-you
To our testers — friends, family, and the early providers of Warri and Uvwie who used the app daily for weeks, caught bugs, and shaped features: this launch is yours too.
