Frequently asked

Clients pay through Paystack at booking. The money is held by Near-U in escrow. Once the job is confirmed complete by both parties, the provider receives the full agreed amount — Near-U earns a commission on top, charged to the client, based on the provider's plan (Basic: 3%, Pro: 5%, Free tier: 0%).
Open a dispute within the window for your provider's plan (48 hours for Basic, 7 days for Pro). Near-U mediates between you and the provider. Outcomes: full refund, partial refund, or release — based on the evidence each party provides.
Phone OTP, selfie, and a government ID (NIN slip, Voter's Card, or Driver's License). Submitted documents are reviewed manually by our team within 24 hours.
Providers list fixed-price services so clients know exactly what they're paying upfront. Any materials or add-ons outside the listed service should be agreed with the provider before work begins.

The site still works without these, but you'll have to share your location again on every visit.

Help us see how Near-U is being used — which pages people visit, which searches succeed, where errors happen. All data is anonymous and aggregated. We use this to fix bugs and improve flows that confuse people. Currently includes: Google Analytics (when enabled).
