Provider plan FAQ
- The client does. The commission is added on top of your quoted price at checkout. You always receive the full amount you quoted — Near-U's fee is never deducted from what you earn.
- Free plan: 0% commission — you collect payment directly from the client outside the platform. Basic (3%): escrow-protected payments, 48-hour dispute window, verified badge. Pro (5%): all of Basic plus priority placement in search, 7-day dispute window, faster support, and a money-back quality guarantee for your clients.
- No monthly subscription. You only pay when a booking is completed (via the commission on that booking). The Basic and Pro plans have a one-time activation fee to get started.
- Yes, you can switch plans at any time from your provider dashboard. The change takes effect on new bookings only — any booking already confirmed uses the plan that was active at the time of confirmation.
- On the Free plan there is no escrow. The client is told to pay you directly (cash, bank transfer). Near-U facilitates the connection and booking record, but payment is between you and the client. Free providers do not receive the verified payment badge.
- Pro plan providers get a priority placement boost in search and category results. Basic and Free are ranked by rating, recency, and distance. All plans go through the same identity verification.
