Provider plan FAQ
- It comes out of your payout — never added on top of the client's price. The client pays exactly the amount you quoted; Near-U deducts its commission before settling you. Example on Basic: a ₦100,000 job means the client pays ₦100,000 and ₦97,000 lands in your wallet.
- Free plan: 0% commission — you collect payment directly from the client outside the platform. Basic (3%): escrow-protected payments, 48-hour dispute window, verified badge. Pro (5%): all of Basic plus priority placement in search, 7-day dispute window, faster support, and a money-back quality guarantee for your clients.
- No monthly subscription and no activation fee. You only pay when you earn — the commission on a completed booking. If you make no money, you pay nothing.
- Existing bookings always keep the commission rate that applied when they were created. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect 30 days after you request them — your current plan and its perks stay active until then, and you can cancel the change any time before it lands.
- On the Free plan there is no escrow. The client is told to pay you directly (cash, bank transfer). Near-U facilitates the connection and booking record, but payment is between you and the client. Free providers do not receive the verified payment badge.
- Pro plan providers get a priority placement boost in search and category results. Basic and Free are ranked by rating, recency, and distance. All plans go through the same identity verification.
